King Industries’ range of highly compatible HX-1 additive components, synthetic base stocks, and packages compliant with FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 provide efficient active performance in H1 lubricants and greases. These additives are suitable for use in performance H1 Lubricants intended for increased intervals and high-performance expectations in the food industry.

Rust and corrosion protection

NA-SUL^® rust and corrosion inhibitors allow formulators to produce superior H1 Lubricants and Greases. These products feature multifunctionality in addition to the primary rust and corrosion inhibition function.

Thermo-oxidative stability, solvency and 
varnish control

NA-LUBE^® KR alkylated naphthalenes are used to formulate high performance lubricants and greases as either a base oil modifier or the sole base oil. They impart outstanding thermo-oxidative stability, solvency, and varnish control when modifying traditionally utilized base oils. NA-LUBE KR products are available in a wide range of viscosities appropriate for formulating low and high viscosity finished fluids for a variety of applications.

Oxidation protection

NA-LUBE^® AO antioxidants include both aminic and phenolic primary antioxidants suitable for oxidation mechanism inhibition. In addition to the NA-LUBE AO products, King Industries offers exceptional multifunctional secondary antioxidants that include AW/EP performance complimentary to superior oxidation inhibition performance in even the most challenging systems.

Multifunctional antiwear

Ashless NA-LUBE^® AW additives provide formulators multifunctional benefits including extreme pressure, secondary antioxidant, and rust inhibition performance. Antiwear additives provide a protective coating on the metal to protect from wear. These additives are suited for food grade lubricants that require rust protection and high load capability (FZG) at low treat levels.

Food grade additive package

The HX-1 NA-LUBE^® BL package is a rust and oxidation inhibiting additive package with antiwear performance, designed for use in the food processing industry. Depending on the application and the food grade base oil used, the effective treat level is 1.0 % by weight with a maximum treat rate of 2.3 % by weight.
